GUESTS OF DENVER COUNTRY CLUB

To ensure your comfort as well as that of our members, we'd like to take a minute to familiarize you with our policies. As always, members are responsible for informing their guests and children of these policies.


CELL PHONE & PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES
In accord with social and athletic purposes of the Club all use of cellular phones and other electronic devices on Club property is strongly discouraged. Guests will limit the use of cellular phones and other electronic devices on Club property in accordance with the following:

Phone Calls - The use of electronic devices to initiate or receive phone, video or other calls is prohibited on Club property, except when the user is:
a. within a phone booth
b. in the parking lot inside an automobile.

Electronic Device Screen Use - The use of electronic devices to send, receive and read text and e-mail on Club property is permitted except when the user is:
a. in or adjacent to an indoor or outdoor dining area
b. in and around the swimming pool
c. on the skating rink.

Electronic Device Use - must be silent and discrete. Extended or constant use of electronic devices is not permitted. When not in use, electronic devices must be kept out of sight (i.e., in a pocket or bag) and not visible to others, including on tables. Tablets, Kindles and similar e-reading devices, other than phones, may be used for e-reading around the pool during the aquatics season (May – September).

Electronic Devices with Headphones - are permitted for listening purposes only around Golf and Racquet Practice Areas and around the Swimming Pool so long as they cannot be heard by others.


BRIEFCASE & PORTABLE COMPUTERS
The display of briefcases, business papers, or portable computers in the Clubhouse is prohibited, except in private dining rooms.


DRESS CODE
We aim to have a casual but conservative dress code where tasteful and appropriate attire is expected. Please help us to adhere to these rules by following the dress code policy. 

Club casual is appropriate for most events. Please check with your host for appropriate dress. Please note that blue jean denim, t-shirts, tank tops, cargo styles, slogan images, exceptionally short skirts and shorts as well as bare feet are considered inappropriate dress.


DINING DRESS CODE

Ladies - Social events and all dining including outside terraces basic standard of dress is dressy casual. Pants suits, skirts and dresses must be to the knee, blouses, and coordinated separates. Sports wear can be worn in all main dining rooms and terraces.

Men's - Dress trousers, dress shirt or turtleneck, coats recommended. For traditional Club events Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving & Holiday Brunches, coats are required for gentlemen 12 and older.

*Poolside is the only location swim wear is permitted. Caps are not permitted in any social or dining areas of the Clubhouse.


GOLF DRESS CODE
(Golf Course & All Practice Facilities)

Everyone must wear spike-less, soft-spike, or rubber-soled shoes. No one is allowed on the golf course or the practice facilities barefooted or with sandals or flip flops. Denim, baggy cargo pants or baggy cargo shorts, running or tennis shorts ARE NOT PERMITTED. Caps must be worn with brim forward at all times.

Ladies - Sleeveless blouses are permitted. Bermuda length shorts and skirts, and golf slacks or culottes. Leggings may be worn under a skirt or skort.

Men's - Must wear appropriate golf shirts (TUCKED IN). Golf trousers or Bermuda length shorts.


RACQUETS DRESS CODE

Only non-marking shoes may be worn on the racquet sports courts. Black-soled running shoes are not allowed. Caps must be worn with the brim facing forward. All white attire is encouraged but not required, unless playing tennis on the grass courts.

Athletic attire is appropriate for platform tennis. In the winter months, it is best to dress in layers.

Ladies - Appropriate length shorts, tennis dresses or outfits.

Men's - Tennis shirts with collars and tennis shorts or trousers.


FITNESS DRESS CODE
Appropriate dress is required for use of the facility, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts or athletic trousers, other garments designed for exercise activities, and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Caps must be worn with brim forward at all times.


POOL DRESS CODE
Swimmers must wear proper attire in the pool area at all times. Cutoffs or shorts not specifically designed for swimming are not permitted in the pool. Denim is not permitted. To enhance the experience of all our members and guests, we ask that you maintain a family-friendly image by wearing appropriate swim wear that’s in good taste. Ladies are required to wear modest swim suits and gentlemen are to wear swim trunks or triathlon shorts during recreational swim; speedos are acceptable for lap swimming and fitness swimming only.

Untrained children must wear two articles of protective swim wear. A disposable swim diaper is to be worn on the inside with an outer reusable swim diaper fitted over anytime they are in the pool. If they are in the main pool, they need to be under the direct supervision of a responsible adult that is in the water with the child at all times.


CROQUET & LAWN BOWLING

Suitable white attire is recommended as per tradition but not required. Only tennis or similar flat-soled shoes are permissible on the court. 


SKATING & HOCKEY DRESS CODE

Denim is permitted at the Skatehouse ONLY during skating season. The wearing of baggy style cargo pants or shorts, & t-shirts are not permitted at any time.


SMOKING
The DCC adheres to all Federal and Colorado laws. Smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere inside the Clubhouse and only in certain designated outdoor locations.
