Junior Code of Conduct

We’re excited to welcome your child to DCC camps and athletic programs! We are focused on fostering good sportsmanship and club etiquette while encouraging juniors to give their best effort in drills, games, practices, and competitions. We’re committed to creating a safe, enjoyable environment where all participants feel supported and valued.

To ensure a positive experience, we emphasize respect for fellow campers, instructors, counselors, equipment, and Club property. Actions that may cause harm to others or damage property will not be tolerated. Please review and discuss the behavior guidelines and our three-strike policy with your junior. This form only needs to be completed once per year.
 

Guidelines for Junior Camps & Programs:

• I will keep my hands to myself (no hitting, pushing, kicking, biting, etc.).
• I will always respect and listen to camp counselors and DCC Staff.
• I will respect other campers (no name calling or teasing).
• I will follow directions and always stay with camp counselors, I will not run ahead of staff.
• For my safety, I will wear my shoes at all times.
• I will alert a camp counselor if there is a problem with another camper so that the counselors can help me have a good time at camp.

Any member of the Junior or Aquatics Staff who feels a rule violation has occurred, whether by member children, grandchildren, or guest, will report the violation to the Youth and Family Department.

Three Strike Policy

1. First Infraction: verbal warning from Staff (i.e. camp counselor, Junior Staff, lifeguards). The Youth Coordinator will give a verbal notice to the member of the involved individual.
2. Second Infraction: phone call from General Manager to the parent of child. If the parent of child is not the member, the member will be contacted in regard to the violation.
3. Third Infraction: one week suspension of privileges. Member must meet with General Manager and Swimming Chair or Junior Chair (depending on infraction) before junior is allowed back.

For the Junior(s):

I will do my best to have a fun and safe experience at the DCC by following these behavior guidelines and I understand that if I cannot follow these rules, disciplinary action will be put into place.

For the Parent/Grandparent:

I have read and understand the above behavior guidelines and have discussed these guidelines with my child(ren). I understand that if my child cannot follow these guidelines, disciplinary action will be followed and I will be notified of reoccurring infractions or continuous poor behavior.
