DCC Hockey Registration - 2018/19 Season
Important Information to Note

In the past we have required everybody to acknowledge our player priority system by signing a DCC Policy Statement. This is no longer necessary; however, all of you should be reminded that if we have too many players for a team, priority is given first to DCC Members’ children and grandchildren. Further priority will be given to players who have a history of strong attendance at practices and tournaments in past years.

We are expecting very large numbers of returning players, particularly on the younger teams and are unlikely to be able to add many new non-DCC members. This message has been given to families who have contacted us during the off-season. Now is the time to contact any new families in your network who might be interested in joining the program but please to not make any promises that we will have space for them.

Squirts, PeeWees, and Bantams should plan to play fall tournaments in Aspen, Vail, and holiday weekend tournaments in January and February (MLK, Presidents), plus season-end CAHA tournament in early March. We cannot guarantee that we will get into every tournament but please try to plan to be available once we know the dates. Last year we had a hard time fielding teams in some tournaments due to a lack of commitment from enough players. If your child’s team signs up for a tournament, it is an expectation not an option that your child participates.

We expect to start practice towards the end of October or early November. Schedules will come out once teams are formed. It’s very important to complete your registration online by the deadline of May 18th so we have an accurate head count for our teams. Keep in mind we only need your initial registration, indicating you would like to reserve your spot on a team by May 18. As part of the registration process, remember that a subsequent e-mail containing links to important forms will be sent to you after we receive this initial registration. After we receive the completed registrations, we’ll be able to finalize the number of teams, weekly practice schedules, etc.

There will be a $250 charge per registration posted to your account at the end of May 2018. If a spot is not offered to the participant for whatever reason, it will be refunded to your account, otherwise it will go towards the DCC Hockey fee listed below that will be charged to your account in August.

Finally, we are excited to announce that Matt Frick has agreed to return to DCC Hockey again this season as our "Hockey Pro". Formerly the head coach of one of the Colorado Thunderbirds youth AAA teams, Matt worked with a few of our teams last year and was extremely well received. Once again, his experience will help our players (and coaches!) immensely in their skills development. Additionally, he will be available for private lessons for DCC players as well.

Registration is now closed for the 2018/19 season.
